The Brazilian Ministry of Defense, through the Secretariat of Defense Products (Seprod), participated in the 12th edition of the “Defense & Security” fair, held in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 10 to 13. The exhibition is a biennial event, with the participation of companies from various countries, showcasing technological innovations and the latest trends in the defense and security sector.

The Ministry of Defense delegation met with Thai military authorities and local industries, with the aim of promoting national defense products and exploring partnership opportunities for the Brazilian Armed Forces and the country’s Defense Industry Base (BID). Brazil has a significant volume of defense product exports to Southeast Asia, including Thailand.

“Thus, we can promote our Defense Industry Base and establish ourselves as an important player on the international stage, in this important, competitive, and technological sector of commerce. Brazil has an extensive portfolio of products that combine quality, technology, and competitive pricing,” stated the Director of the Department of Trade Promotion (Depcom), Major General Helder de Freitas Braga.

Representatives from the Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Materials Industries (Abimde) and national companies also participated in the “Defense & Security” fair with a booth showcasing their products.
