A comedy-style tribute to women! The G7 troupe’s most “useful” comedy, “E Homem, Serve Pra Quê?” (And What Are Men Good For, Anyway?), continues its run on Saturdays and Sundays at 7:00 PM at the Teatro La Salle (Quadra 906, Asa Sul). The show features six comedic sketches, showcasing various styles of humor, audience interaction with couples, prizes, music, and plenty of fun.

As one of the G7 Comedy Company’s most provocative and timely works, “E Homem, Serve Pra Quê?” (And What Are Men Good For, Anyway?) was created specifically to honor women—though it’s a comedy for everyone. With a light touch and a great sense of humor, the show turns everyday behaviors, relationships, and situations into amusing reflections, all while staying true to its primary mission: keeping the audience laughing for 80 minutes.

A “useful” comedy!

The play consists of sketches that explore various comedic scenarios, all in search of an answer to the show’s title: *And What Are Men Good For, Anyway?* It all begins with the “true” story of humanity’s creation: God created Eve first, and then—from her wisdom tooth—He created Adam. A wisdom tooth doesn’t serve any real purpose, but perhaps “man” might?

In the sketch “How to Train Your Man,” the host, Ms. Filó, teaches women how to train their partners to do things like put the toilet seat down, take out the trash, and walk the dog—along with other useful and entertaining tips. After all, “a well-trained partner is a happy partner.”

In the scene “If I Were You,” the roles are reversed, allowing men to experience how many women feel during a fit of jealousy.

Beyond being highly entertaining, the scene also serves as a protest against violence toward women. “The Men’s Store” is a brick-and-mortar shop where various types of “men” are available for purchase—though most end up sitting on the lot like used cars. “The Damaged Goods” focuses on men who decide to head up a mountain to become, well… more “manly.” Featuring an unexpected plot twist regarding the true nature of masculinity, the sketch concludes the show with an inspired musical number, choreographed with the kind of perfection only comedians can pull off…

Women are going to love it!

This show is for everyone!

For men, it’s not just fun—it might even be quite educational. For women, it’s the perfect opportunity to bring your partner to the theater to hear a few “inconvenient truths” that might be difficult to bring up at home… Get ready to laugh at scenarios crafted with great care—designed with you, the woman, in mind—that will also have the men roaring with laughter. And who knows? Perhaps this comedy will plant a little seed from which a “new man” might one day sprout.
