Dear friends of the diplomatic corps,

THE GUIDE Social Club was created with the aim of promoting social events that contribute to the greater socialization of the community of foreigners from the embassies and international organizations established in Brasilia. In THE GUIDE’s many years of activities, we have held parties, boat rides and sports tournaments, with the participation of several embassies. Our social club also helps foreigners to adapt to new life in the capital.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has prevented the organization of socializing events until now. Confinement has become one of the strongest weapons to prevent the spread of this disease that has been frightening all countries.

Although the government of the Federal District is promoting a process of opening parks, shops, bars and restaurants in Brasília, the control of the expansion of the number of cases of COVID-19 is not yet a reality. For this reason, we will continue with the suspension of fraternization activities until we are sure that we are safe from the contagion of the disease.

We ask everyone for their understanding and we hope to return very soon to the lively events that have marked our company.

Prezados amigos do corpo diplomático,

O THE GUIDE Social Club foi criado com o objetivo de promover eventos sociais que contribuam para a maior socialização da comunidade de estrangeiros das embaixadas e organismos nacionais estabelecidos em Brasília. Nos muitos anos de atividades do THE GUIDE, realizamos festas, passeios e torneios esportivos, com a participação de várias embaixadas. Nosso clube social também auxilia a adaptação dos estrangeiros à nova vida na capital.

Infelizmente a pandemia de COVID-19 impossibilitou a organização de eventos de confraternização até o presente momento. O confinamento tornou-se uma das mais fortes armas para impedir a propagação dessa doença que vem assustando todos os países.

Apesar de o governo do Distrito Federal estar promovendo um processo de abertura de parques, comércio, bares e restaurantes em Brasília, o controle da expansão do número de casos de COVID-19 ainda não é uma realidade. Por esse motivo, continuaremos com a suspensão da realização de atividades de confraternização até termos a certeza de estarmos seguros do contágio da doença.

Pedimos a compreensão de todos e esperamos em breve voltar a realizar os animados eventos que muito marcaram nossa empresa.
