THE GUIDE interviewed players Julia de Andrade and Janice Arnold, from the Embassy of Germany team and Ms. Hadassa Faltrin, from the Embassy of France team. Tournament 2nd Phase
On Saturday, June 5th, the teams that qualified for the final phase of the tournament played knockout matches. The matches were played with great skill, effort, and endurance. Beautiful plays, unforgettable goals, and enthusiastic fans made the games great spectacles.
The matches Embassy of Russia vs. GIZ, Embassy of the United Kingdom vs. Embassy of France, Embassy of Germany vs. Yalla Gol, and Scotland vs. LAS determined the following semi-final matchups for the four best teams in the tournament: Scotland vs. GIZ and Embassy of France vs. Embassy of Germany.
3rd Place and TOP Four
The 3rd place match was between the Embassy of Germany and Scotland (a second team formed by the Embassy of the United Kingdom). The Embassy of Germany achieved victory in a hard-fought and much-celebrated game. The team had a large following, and the joy of victory was widespread. The players from the German Embassy team fraternized with the players from Scotland, who received Top Four medals for their result among the four football powerhouses in the embassy and international organizations sector.

CHAMPION and RUNNER-UP
The grand final was played between the teams from the Embassy of France and the German Agency for International Cooperation – GIZ. The teams had excellent campaigns and deserved to reach the top. The game had the emotions of a grand final, and the competition between the two teams also involved the race between the two top scorers of the tournament in search of the Golden Boot trophy, given to the top scorer of the tournament. Mr. José Higor dos Santos, from the French Embassy team, and Mr. Guilherme Rocha de Oliveira, from the GIZ team wrote their names in the history of the tournament because both reached the end of the tournament with the same number of ten goals. They played very well, scored beautiful goals, and the tournament administration decided to give a Golden Boot trophy to each of them, a decision that was widely applauded by everyone.

Striker José Higor dos Santos, from the Embassy of France, won the Golden Boot Trophy! Congratulations!!!
The Golden Boot trophy ceremony would have been complete, were it not for the misfortune of top scorer Guilherme Oliveira, from the GIZ team, suffering a foul that prevented him from continuing to play the final match and forcing him to leave the tournament to receive medical attention for his shoulder. Fortunately, his problem was resolved at the hospital, and there he received the trophy from his teammates.

Despite leaving the final match before it ended due to a severe foul he suffered, striker Guilherme Oliveira, from the GIZ team, received the Golden Boot trophy for the goals he scored in the tournament! Congratulations!!

Striker Guilherme Oliveira received the trophy at the hospital. His shoulder has already healed, and he will likely be a contender to win the trophy again at the next tournament.
During the match, the departure of player Guilherme Oliveira required even more effort from the GIZ team to hold off the advance of the French Embassy team, which came to the tournament determined to be Champion. The game was exciting, and each goal made the final result uncertain about who would be the big winner. The 2-2 result of the match showed that the two teams are now the biggest powers in football in the diplomatic sector and that the outcome of the tournament would be decided on penalties!
As expected, the penalty shootout was thrilling, with the teams getting closer to the championship title with each kick. Both teams were ahead in the shootouts, and it was impossible to predict the winner. Finally, the GIZ team missed a kick, giving the French Embassy the necessary advantage to score and be crowned the Great CHAMPION of the 3rd THE GUIDE – WORLD Amateur Football Tournament!!! Congratulations!!!!

The teams of the Embassy of France and GIZ displayed great strength and quality, and the tournament title had to be decided by a penalty shootout.

The tie between the two finalists persisted even during the penalty shootout, until the French Embassy team finally scored the goal that secured the championship title.
The players from the French Embassy team embraced and celebrated their championship victory with great joy. Reaching the top was a challenging journey, and the final match was undoubtedly the most difficult. The GIZ team demonstrated great skill and resilience and also celebrated their well-deserved campaign, earning the Runner-up and Golden Boot trophies. The players fraternized after the beautiful sport spectacle, and everyone went to the awards area.
