The Vietnamese Embassy in Brazil has organized events in celebration of the thirty years of diplomatic relations with Brazil. The strong friendship between the two countries translated into an increase in the trade balance, surpassing the US$ 5 billion mark annually.

The result of the economic development between Brazil and that beautiful country of Asia is the result of the hard work of Brazilian and Vietnamese diplomats, who organized dozens of bilateral meetings and visits by various delegations during this period. One of the highlights of Vietnam’s strong diplomatic performance in Brazil is the work of Vietnamese ambassador Do Ba Khoa, who has been leading the embassy’s celebration events in Brasilia, as well as presenting initiatives to continue the growing  trade results. One of these initiatives was his recent trip to the state of Minas Gerais, creating ties of cooperation between his country and the state government and business sectors.

Among the events that the Vietnamese embassy has organized to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Brazil there was a lunch for journalists at the embassy and a dinner at a specialized venue for events in Brasilia, both held in April.

Journalists from various media outlets attended the event at the embassy.

At the lunch at the embassy, ​​an exhibition was presented with photos that translated moments of the building of friendship between Brazil and Vietnam. The guests attended a presentation by the ambassador about facts and figures of the growing relations with Brazil. Then, everyone was invited to taste typical dishes of Vietnamese cuisine. The highlight of the event at the embassy was the decoration by Ambassador Do Ba Khoa with a Medal of Friendship to journalist Fabiana Ceyhan, considered a Friend of Vietnam.

The dinner organized by the embassy had dozens of guests, including Brazilian and foreign diplomats, businessmen, ambassadors, intellectuals and personalities of Brazilian society. A large screen showed images of Vietnam and there was also an exhibition of photographs of prominent moments in building friendships between the two countries.

Following the arrival of the guests, the Vietnamese ambassador, Mr. Do Ba Khoa, gave a speech of thanks for the presence of all and emphasizing the importance of diplomatic relations with Brazil. The ambassador and the guests toasted in honor of the important date: May 8, 1989, the beginning of diplomatic relations with Brazil. Afterwards, all were invited for a celebration dinner, in an atmosphere of joy and friendship.

Continuing the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the beginning of relations with Brazil, the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies will hold a solemn session on September 30th. The event will take place at the Ulysses Guimarães Plenary and will be attended by politicians, businessmen, diplomats, intellectuals and members of the press.
