The Embassy of Saudi Arabia organized a big party to celebrate the national day of their country. The event took place on September 24 at the Dunia City Hall event venue, located in the Lago Sul district of Brasilia.

The Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Mr. Mohammed Abdulhamid Muzafar Khan, along with other embassy diplomats and attachés, received the compliments of hundreds of people. The Brazilian government was represented by the Minister of the Secretary of Brazilian Government, Mr. Carlos Marun, and by Ambassador Ligia Maria Scherer, Director of the Middle East Department of ​​the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil.

The guests congregated in the social halls of the event house, where a screen showed beautiful Saudi Arabia presentation images. Among those present there were ambassadors, foreign and Brazilian diplomats, civilian and military attachés, businessmen, members of the Arab community in Brazil and personalities from the society of Brasilia.

The anthems of Brazil and Saudi Arabia were played by the Brazilian Navy band and then the Chargé d’Affaires a. i., Mr. Mohammed Khan, delivered a speech thanking everyone for their presence and highlighting the ever-strong relations that his country has with Brazil. Ambassador Ligia Maria Scherer, Director of the Middle East Department of ​​the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, also gave a speech and congratulated the representatives of Saudi Arabia in Brazil for the passage of such an important date. The speeches received the applause of all the guests.

Following the speeches, it was announced the beginning of a celebration dinner with typical Saudi food and sweets, served in the beautifully decorated dining room of the event house.

Two large screens installed in the hall continued to show beautiful images of Saudi Arabia and everyone enjoyed the dinner, set with typical songs of that beautiful country.

At the end of the event, the guests greeted the Embassy’s Chargé d’affaires a.i., Mr. Mr. Mohammed Khan, for the beautiful celebration and received as a gift a commemorative pin of the good relations between Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
