The public in Brasilia has the opportunity to live a little bit of the atmosphere of the music scene of the 70’s in the United States. Directed by Timothy Scott Bogart, the film SPINNING GOLD (A Era do Ouro) portrays the life and career of Neil Bogart, co-founder of Casablanca Records, the label responsible for launching big names in music, such as Donna Summer, Kiss, Village People and Bill Withers.
Set in the 1970s, the production mixes drama with musical performances by music greats who were previously unknown and tells the story of Neil Bogart from his humble upbringing in Brooklyn to his rise in the music business.
Fans of the band Kiss and pop singer Donna Summer will appreciate the remarkable moments of the beginning of the great musical careers of these musical idols and will certainly want to hear again the musical hits that marked that decade.
