Held at Caixa Cultural, in Asa Sul, the exhibition celebrates the work of artist Francisco Galeno.
Curated by Mr. Paulo Herkenhoff, the exhibition pays tribute to the career of one of the great figures of Brazilian contemporary art. It features works created throughout his journey, spanning from the beginning of his career to his most recent pieces. The show presents a comprehensive overview of Galeno’s work through paintings, wood sculptures, prints, and objects of various dimensions.
The project also honors the artist’s legacy one year after his passing. Offering an immersion into his poetic universe, the works reflect Galeno’s childhood, Brazilian popular culture, and the emotional experiences that shaped his artistic output.
Photographs, newspaper clippings, and personal objects are also on display. It reaffirms the power of a body of work that transformed memory, material, and imagination into an artistic language—capturing a profound poetic dimension of Brazil.
