The Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System in Brazil, Mr. Niky Fabiancic, the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Zeljko Vukosav, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. Alain Brian Bergant, welcomed guests for the celebration of 25 years of the entry of Croatia and Slovenia into the United Nations – UN.

The event took place in the United Nations building in Brasilia, known as the UN House (Casa da ONU), in the early afternoon of May 22 and was attended by foreign ambassadors, diplomats, businessmen and Brazilian government officials. The guests greeted the hosts of the event and socialized in the social hall of the building.

After the arrival of all the guests, the hosts of the event gave speeches emphasizing the importance of the entry of Croatia and Slovenia into the UN. The first speech was delivered by the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Brazil, Mr. Niky Fabiancic, followed by speeches by the Ambassador of Croatia, Mr. Zeljko Vukosav, and the Ambassador of Slovenia, Mr. Alain Brian Bergant. They all emphasize the importance of the entry of Croatia and Slovenia as UN member countries and the current prominence of these beautiful countries in the world.

The Under-Secretary-General for Multilateral Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Ambassador Fernando Simas Magalhães, also gave a speech on the importance of the celebrated event and the participation of Brazil as a member of the UN and as a friendly nation of Croatia and Slovenia.

The guests applauded the speeches and congratulated the host diplomats on the success of the beautiful event.
