Mr. Sergio Jardim, CEO of Creative Events Brazil, the company organizing LAAD Security Milipol Brazil and LAAD Defense & Security, opened the event and welcomed several Brazilian and foreign authorities. THE GUIDE spoke with Mr. Sergio Jardim about the event and presents the interview below:

THE GUIDE: We appreciate the invitation to be here at LAAD Security Milipol Brazil. THE GUIDE made several business contacts and noted the presence of several foreign delegations. It is a pleasure to speak with you and we would first like to ask: What was your impression of the event over these three days?

Mr. Sergio Jardim: My impression as an organizer is always easy to form, since we prepared everything, so it’s easy to know if the event was successful. I consider the exhibitors’ impression more important because they are the reason for the fair, and we heard very positive things in terms of their opinions. This makes us very happy because our purpose is for exhibitors and visitors to have this satisfaction.

THE GUIDE: Did many foreign delegations attend this event?

Mr. Sergio Jardim: Yes. We had several delegations. There were 45 delegations from 25 countries, so they were all here visiting companies, talking to passersby, and in the restaurant reserved for delegations. This interaction was very positive.

THE GUIDE: Was LAAD 2026 bigger than LAAD 2024?
Mr. Sergio Jardim: Yes, it was.

THE GUIDE: Can exhibiting companies and foreign governments already register for participation in LAAD 2027, to be held in Rio de Janeiro?

Mr. Sergio Jardim: Yes, they are already doing so. We already have companies confirmed for next year’s event. They took the opportunity of the three days of the event here and have already registered for next year.

THE GUIDE: Will Creative (the company organizing LAAD) promote any event in Brasília to promote LAAD 2027?

Mr. Sergio Jardim: Probably not. Our relationship with the security and defense sector in Brazil and the diplomatic corps has been strong, and we will maintain our present communication channels with everyone.

THE GUIDE: To conclude, what message could you give to the community of embassies and defense attachés in Brasília regarding both this LAAD and the one that will be held next year?

Mr. Sergio Jardim: The message is that it is worthwhile to be present in our events to make contact with Brazil’s defense and security industrial base. These are very well-prepared, strategic defense companies that will be ready to interact well with everyone. It is worthwhile to learn about products and services that are made with great quality.

THE GUIDE: Thank you for the interview and congratulations on your success!
Mr. Sergio Jardim:
Thank you!
