Some museums and famous tourist attractions around the world offer virtual tours with 360º technology through the capture of satellite images, but everything has become even more realistic and accessible with the partnership with Google. They have developed a specific culture and art platform, Arts & Culture, formerly titles Google art project, which uses street view technology to provide free virtual tours to art galleries around the world. In addition, the site also provides information on art history, compiles works by famous artists and divides the collections in a thematic way.

Prambanan, Indonesia:

The Prambanan is a 9th-century Hindu temple compound in Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, dedicated to the Trimūrti, the expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Preserver (Vishnu) and the Transformer (Shiva). The temple compound is located approximately 17 kilometers northeast of the city of Yogyakarta on the boundary between Central Java and Yogyakarta provinces. The temple compound, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia and the second-largest in Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its tall and pointed architecture, typical of Hindu architecture, and by the towering 47-metre-high central building inside a large complex of individual temples.

 

Tikal, Guatemala:

The city of Tikal is the ruin of an ancient city, which was likely to have been called Yax Mutal, found in a rainforest in Guatemala. It is one of the largest archaeological sites and urban centers of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization. It is located in the archaeological region of the Petén Basin in what is now northern Guatemala. Situated in the department of El Petén, the site is part of Guatemala’s Tikal National Park and in 1979 it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

 

Biennalle Arte 2015, Venice:

The Venice Biennalle is a massive international exhibition that showcases the work of hundreds of contemporary artists, held every two years in Italy’s glamorous City of Water. It includes national pavilions for over 88 countries, which present the art of each country’s nominated artist. In the 2015 edition of the exhibit, the theme was ‘All the World’s Futures’ curated by Okwui Enwezor. Given the annual nature of the Biennalle, street view might be one of the best, if not the only way to experience the 2015 edition of this event.

Situado no departamento de El Petén, o local faz parte do Parque Nacional Tikal da Guatemala e em 1979 foi declarado Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO.

A Bienal de Veneza é uma enorme exposição internacional que mostra o trabalho de centenas de artistas contemporâneos, realizado a cada dois anos na glamourosa Cidade das Águas da Itália. Inclui pavilhões nacionais para mais de 88 países, que apresentam a arte do artista indicado em cada país. Na edição de 2015 da exposição, o tema foi “Todos os futuros do mundo”, com curadoria de Okwui Enwezor. Dada a natureza anual da Biennalle, o Street View pode ser uma das melhores, senão a única maneira de experimentar a edição de 2015 deste evento.
