Saxophonist Branford Marsalis comes to Brasília to perform a single presentation in the outside area of CCBB. The special concert takes place on Saturday, June 16, with a fusion of erudite music and Jazz in concert performed jointly with the Symphonic Orchestra of Brasília.
The Reciclando Sons Institute will be the opening number of the event “CCBB in Concert”. Coming from Cidade Estrutural, the project has been re-socializing the youth of that poor neighborhood through music.
Brasília Symphony Orchestra takes the stage right after. The repertoire includes works by Bach, Villa-Lobos, John Williams (Star Wars soundtrack) and more. Before making the concert focused on jazz, Branford Marsalis will perform songs with the Brazilian orchestra.
