Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil presents the film festival “Cidade em Chamas: O Cinema de Hong Kong” (City in flames: The Cinema of Hong Kong), which premieres on Tuesday, June 12, featuring 23 productions, debates, course and a catalog.
The film festival is a retrospective that brings the opportunity of immersion in one of the most important and influential cinemas in the world, and, in addition, it is a historical tour that begins in the year 1960, that goes through 1970, that visits the new Hong Kong cinema of the early 1980s and also features movies produced until 1997.
The program features more than twenty cult films by Chinese directors and actors of genres such as martial arts, comedy, musicals, crime, horror and crime films.
