Brasilia’s Caixa Cultural is hosting an exhibition with paintings, sculptures and engravings from female artists that integrate its artistic collection. The works show the diversity of styles between the artists and reveals, in common, the search for female expressivity obtained from their personal, social and cultural experiences. The exhibition lasts until July 22th and gives visibility to artists less known to the general public, but also has names such as Djanira, Pietrina Checcacci and Tarsila do Amaral – most famous for her “Abaporu painting”.
