The event took place at the Official Residence of Philippine Ambassador Jose D.R. Burgos and had attendees from Brasilia and other cities of Brazil as São Paulo, Porto Alegre, Goiânia and Vitória. Among the attendees there were Brazilian authorities, diplomats and businessmen.
In his Welcome Remarks, Ambassador Jose D.R. Burgos informed the Business Forum that 2016 marks the 70th Anniversary of Philippines-Brazil Diplomatic Relations. He also informed that organizing a Brazilian business delegation to the Philippines, and a Philippine business delegation to Brazil soon after, would be a very fitting way to celebrate the growing relations between the two countries.
The Philippine Consul Eric Valenzuela and the Honorary Consul General of the city of Porto Alegre, Dr. Somchai Ansuj, discussed the Agenda of the Meeting with the attendees and gave information of the business and economic potential of The Philippines, considered a bright spot in the global economy.
After the Meeting, the guests complimented ambassador Burgos and other Philippine diplomats for the success of such important event for the increasing of relations of The Philippines and Brazil.
