Brasília’s carnival is growing year after year. The empty streets and poor options are gone and now the carvival in the capital drags thousands of people to the streets, with a variety of carnival parades.

This year, 2.5 million people are expected in Brasília’s carnival. About 200 street parades are going to occupy the city with joy and irreverence.

Cafuçu do Cerrado

One of the most traditional carnival parades in Brasília, Cafuçu do Cerrado presents its new edition featuring Marafreboi Popular Orchestra, Patubatê percussion group, Cafuçu Orchestra and DJs Formigang, Baga System, Pezão and Telma & Selma.

Bloco da Peleja

Since 2013, Bloco do Peleja is parading in downtown Brasília announcing the pre-carnival season. This year, the carnival parade features the groups Samba do Peleja and Coletivo Lúdico de Samba.

Galo Cego

Imagina no Carnaval

Pre-carnival tradition in Brasília, the party Imagina no Carnaval is once again getting the city ready for the official carnival. This weekend, the line up of the party features the carnival parade “Aparelhinho” and resident DJs.
