The ambassador of Thailand, Mr. Pitchayaphant Charnbhumidol, and other members of the Thai Embassy in Brazil, received guests for the celebration of a mass for the death of the king of their country, Mr. Bhumibol Adulyadej, on October 13th of 2016.

The beautiful religious ceremony took place in the Cathedral of Brasilia on the afternoon of December 1st and was attended by several Brazilian authorities, ambassadors, diplomats and military attachés.

The sunny afternoon illuminated the beautiful interior areas of the cathedral through its artistic stained glass windows.

After the arrival of the guests, the priest began the mass, which was celebrated in the English language.

After the religious celebration, ambassador Charnbhumidol and his wife, Mrs. Duangjai Charnbhumidol, received the condolences of the guests.

King Bhumibol Adulyadej, was revered as “Father of the Nation” by the 67 million Thais. The monarch was loved by all his subjects – houses and offices throughout the country displayed portraits of his majesty in prominent places, revealing the worship of the people by the king, who remained on the throne for 70 years (1946 – 2016). His Majesty Bhumidol – the ninth king of the Chakri Dynasty – will be remembered as the monarch who has worked hard to improve the lives of all citizens given his vast knowledge of the difficult condition of existence in the country. This assured the King the well-deserved title of “Father of the Nation,” affectionately bestowed by the Thai people.

At the end of the event, ambassador Charnbhumidol and members of the Thai Embassy took pictures around the picture of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

THE GUIDE extends its condolences to the ambassador of Thailand, Mr. Pitchayaphant Charnbhumidol, his wife, and members of Thai Embassy in Brazil, for the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
