The Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Materials Industries – ABIMDE (Associação Brasileira das Indústrias de Materiais de Defesa e Segurança) celebrated its 40th anniversary on August 13th, organizing a grand dinner in Brasília, DF. The event took place at the Porto Real Beira Lago event venue, located in the South Clubs Sector of the city, and was attended by hundreds of people.
The guests were welcomed by the President of the Association’s Board of Directors, Mr. Luiz Carlos Paiva Teixeira. Among them there were Brazilian government authorities, foreign diplomats, military personnel, and businesspeople from the Defense sector.

The guests mingled in the social halls, and after everyone arrived, the formalities began. The Brazilian national anthem was played, and then Mr. Teixeira gave a speech about the 40 years of the Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Materials Industries – ABIMDE. He highlighted the importance and growth of the Defense and Security area and ABIMDE’s initiatives for the growth of the businesses of its member industries. He received applause from everyone.
A video about the Defense sector was shown at the event and guests were honored and gave speeches about the importance of ABIMDE’s support throughout their business careers.
Afterwards, everyone was invited to a celebratory dinner, served in an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie.
As a representative entity of the Defense and Security Industrial Base (BIDS), ABIMDE has been working diligently to consolidate Brazil’s position in the international Defense and Security scenario.
