The Embassy of Poland received journalists on the night of July 25th for a press conference with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of that country, Mr. Marcin Przydacz, responsible for Security, Americas, Asia and Eastern Policy.

Journalists from various media outlets attended the event, which addressed topics related to the current situation in Europe and the world, including the war in Ukraine, the world economic situation, sanctions and geostrategic aspects. Deputy Minister Mr. Marcin Przydacz highlighted among his statements to journalists that no country has an interest in a world war, but NATO remains strong in its principle of guaranteeing the protection of its member countries. He said the international community must persevere in economic sanctions against Russia in order to pressure it to end the war in Ukraine. Prior to the press conference, Deputy Minister Marcin Przydacz attended meetings at the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

 Polish Cultural Attaché, Ms. Iga Jakubowska, welcomed press members and announced the begining of the conference.

The conference was opened by the Polish Ambassador to Brazil, Mr. Jakub Skiba and had the participation of the Vice-Director of the Department of the Americas in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Ms. Dorota Bary and other diplomats and attachés from the embassy of that country. After the conference, everyone was invited to a dinner served in the social halls of the embassy.

Journalists from the “Associação Brasileira dos Jornalistas e Comunicadores da Área Internacional e Diplomática – ABRAJINTER” (Brazilian Association of Journalists and Comunicators in the International and Diplomatic Area) were at the event.

Ms. Monika Domańska-Szymczak, first counsellor of the Department of the Americas in the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Blazej Kiełbasa.

Journalists received books and informative materials about Poland.
