The Embassy of India celebrated International Yoga Day on the afternoon of June 21, when dozens of guests attended a Yoga session on the outside area of the embassy.




The guests were welcomed by the ambassador of India to Brazil, Mr. Suresh Reddy and by Indian diplomats. The sunny afternoon gave a special beauty to the event, which began with the display of a message from the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Shri Narendra Modi.






After the Prime Minister’s message, the Ambassador of India, Mr. Suresh Reddy gave a speech to welcome everyone. Ambassador Marcia Donner Abreu, Brazilian Secretary for Bilateral Negotiations in Asia, Pacific and Russia, also delivered a speech congratulating India for promoting such an important event.






The speeches received applause from everyone and the Yoga session began, led by a Yoga Master invited to the event. All participated and received the health benefits of body and mind provided by such an important practice. At the end, all fraternized in celebration of the important date.
