Ambassador of Iran, Mr. Abdollah Nekounam Ghadirli and his wife

The embassy of Iran celebrated the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran on February 12th, when the Ambassador, Mr. Abdollah Nekounam Ghadirli, received hundreds of guests at the Setor de Clubes Sul of Brasília.

The  guests attended the celebration and greeted Ambassador Abdollah Nekounam Ghadirli, and others Iranian diplomats and the defense attaché from the country. Among the guests there were Brazilian government officials, politicians, businesspeople, foreign ambassadors and defense attachés, as well as journalists and personalities from Brazilian society.

The social halls displayed art objects from that important Middle Eastern country, with art sculptures that resemble those from the ancient persian empire. There were also beautiful paintings of Iranian origin, a book showing historical carpets from Iran. Ms. Azar Sadr Arhami, also were there to write the names of the guests in Farsi, the language of Iran. 

After the guests arrived and had a first ambiance, a video showing tourism attractions, the beauties of Iran, the advances of science and the clean nuclear energy were displayed. After that, the anthems of Brazil and Iran were played.

Iran’s ambassador, Mr. Abdollah Nekounam Ghadirli then gave a welcome speech and highlighted the growing relations between Iran and Brazil. The Brazilian government representative Mr. Carlos Duarte, also gave a speech about the importance of cooperation between Brazil and Iran.

After the speeches, the ambassador Abdollah Nekounam Ghadirli and the representative of the Brazilian government, Mr. Carlos Duarte, cut a ceremonial celebration cake. 

 

The guests then were invited for a celebration dinner prepared by a group of Brazilian chefs specially invited for the occasion. Traditional Iranian cuisine, special desserts and the celebration cake were served to the guests. The traditional Iranian tea and the famous Iranian caviar were also much appreciated by everyone. 

 

 

 

 

The guests enjoyed the fraternization atmosphere of the event and congratulated the Ambassador of Iran, Mr.Abdollah Nekounam Ghadirli for the success of the beautiful event.
