The Association of Accredited Military Attachés in Brazil – AAMAB organized a major social gathering among its members on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The celebration took place at the Air Force Base Club and brought together dozens of people, including Defense Attachés from over 50 countries and their families. Everyone was welcomed by the Association’s President, Peruvian General Alan Nuñez Rivera, the Vice President, Pakistani General Tariq Naeem Athar, and other board members.

The club’s social halls were prepared for the gathering, which was supported by partner companies of the Association, including THE GUIDE, AUDI Diplomatic Sales, and Rita Trindade Medical-Dental Spa.

THE GUIDE team covered the event and provided trophies and medals for the participating teams in the finals of the soccer and beach volleyball tournaments, which were fiercely contested by enthusiastic teams formed by military attachés and their relatives.

After the arrival of the members and their families, the soccer tournament began, with the teams displaying skill and a strong desire to win. The matches progressed until the final was set between the two teams with the most victories: General Alan Nuñez Rivera’s team and General Tariq Naeem Athar’s team.  

The grand final match kicked off, featuring cheering fans, plenty of goals, and dramatic turns. General Tariq Athar’s team opened the scoring but conceded an equalizer in the first half. With just minutes left in the first half, General Tariq Athar’s team scored a second goal, ending the half 2-1.  

The second half delivered the thrills of a championship final, with both teams showcasing impressive plays and more goals. Two minutes into the half, General Alan Rivera’s team scored again, leveling the match and intensifying the battle for the title. Just over a minute later, his team scored another goal, taking the lead on their path to victory. Everything seemed decided when General Tariq’s team scored, tying the game again at 3-3. With one minute left, General Tariq received the ball at midfield, took a few steps forward, and launched a powerful long-range shot, scoring one of the tournament’s most beautiful goals. The goalkeeper tried to save it, but the fast, angled shot was unstoppable. That was the championship-winning goal. Shortly after it, the referee blew the final whistle (4-3), and everyone celebrated together.  

The Association’s President and Vice President, captains of the opposing teams, embraced and demonstrated the spirit of friendship and joy that guides the Association’s events. Everyone celebrated the spectacle of a high-level match played with fair play and camaraderie.

Interviewed by THE GUIDE, General Alan Rivera said his team “played at the same level as the opposing team, but victory ended up being theirs.” He emphasized that the camaraderie and unity displayed in the tournament were more important than the game itself—the very goal of the Association.  

General Alan Nuñez Rivera said the most important is the fraternization among the members of the Association.

The winning team’s captain, General Tariq Naeem Athar, also spoke to THE GUIDE. When asked about the key to his team’s victory, he credited it to great teamwork and expressed happiness at scoring the winning goal in the final moments. His son played on the team, and when asked if their chemistry came from years of playing together, he replied, “It’s hard to believe, but this was the first time we’ve ever played together!”

Everyone then moved to the club’s social halls, where the Association’s board honored departing attachés and welcomed new members. All received medals and gifts in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere.  

President of the Association, General Alan Nuñez Rivera, welcomed everyone and started the homages.

Lunch followed, with everyone enjoying a full buffet of Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine. Latin and Caribbean rhythms got many couples dancing in the hall, and the festivities continued well into the afternoon.

After lunch, the beach volleyball tournament began, with four teams of attachés and family members competing in several matches on that beautiful, sunny afternoon. The teams were formed through a sort of draw, ensuring balanced skill levels. General Tariq Naeem Athar also played on one of the teams and once again reached the final.  

The match was thrilling, with both teams taking turns leading the score. Each team won a set, forcing a decisive third set. It was undoubtedly a final full of great plays, with both teams alternating in the lead. At one point, General Tariq’s team needed two consecutive points to win the championship, and through great effort, they achieved it, securing the title. Both teams celebrated in a spirit of joy.

 

When asked by THE GUIDE how it felt to win both tournaments, General Tariq said it was a fantastic feeling and that he was happy the tournaments had brought everyone together in celebration.

Everyone returned to the club’s social hall, where the champions and runners-up of the soccer and beach volleyball tournaments received trophies and medals from THE GUIDE’s President, Mr. Pedro Paulo Moreira, the Association’s President, General Alan Nuñez Rivera, the Vice President, General Tariq Naeem Athar and other board members.  

The Saturday gathering was marked by the joy and unity of the Defense Attachés and their families. A Associação dos Adidos Militares Acreditados no Brasil – AAMAB organizou um grande evento de confraternização entre seus membros no sábado, 26 de abril de 2025. A celebração aconteceu no Clube da Base[Aérea e reuniu dezenas de pessoas incluindo Adidos de Defesa de mais de 50 paises e suas famílias. Todos foram recebidos pelo presidente da Associação, General peruano Alan Nuñez Rivera, pelo Vice Presidente, General paquistanêsTariq Naeem Athar e demais membros da diretoria.

Os salões sociais do clube foram preparados para a confraternização, que contou com o apoio de empresas parceiras da Associação, entre elas o THE GUIDE, a AUDI Diplomatic Sales e o Rita Trindade Spa Médico Odontológico.

A equipe do THE GUIDE fez a cobertura do evento e forneceu troféus e medalhas para os times participantes das finais dos torneios de futebol e vôlei de praia, disputados por animados times formados pelos adidos militares e seus parentes.

Após a chegada dos associados e suas famílias, o torneio de futebol teve início e os times mostraram qualidade e muita vontade de ser campeão. Os jogos foram acontecendo at[e at[e a grande final ser definida entre os times com maior número de vitórias: O time do General Alan Nuñez Rivera e o time do General Tariq Naeem Athar.

O grande jogo da final teve início e a grande partida teve torcida, muitos gols e reviravoltas. O time do General Tarik abriu o placar mas sofreu o empate ainda no primeiro tempo. Faltando poucos minutos para o final da primeira etapa, o time do General Tarik fez o segundo gol, terminando a etapa em 2×1.

O segundo tempo teve as emoções dignas de uma final de campeonato com os dois times mostrando belas jogadas e mais gols. Com dois minutos de jogo o time do General Alan fez mais um gol e empatou o jogo, deixando tudo igual e aumentando a disputa pelo titulo. Em pouco mais de um minuto o gol seu time fez mais um gol e assumiu a dianteira rumo ao título de campeão. Tudo parecia definido quando o time do general  Tarik fez um gol e empatou novamente o jogo: 3×3. Faltava um minuto para o fim da partida quando o general Tarik recebeu a bola no meio da quadra e ao avançar poucos metros arriscou um forte chute de longe e marcou um dos mais belos gols do campeonato. O goleiro ainda tentou defender, mas a bola rápida e com direção ao ângulo do gol foi indefensável. Estava ali o gol do título. Pouco depois o juiz apitou o fim do jogo (4×3) e todos se confraternizaram.

Presidente e Vice-presidente da associação, capitães dos times adversários, se abraçaram e demonstraram o espírito de amizade e alegria que pautam os eventos da associação. Todos celebraram o espetáculo de um jogo de alto nível técnico, jogado com fair play e camaradagem.

Entrevistado pelo THE GUIDE, o General Alan disse que seu time “jogou no mesmo nível do time adversário, mas a vitória acabou sendo deles”. O general disse que mais importante do que o jogo foram a confraternização e a união demonstrados no torneio, objetivo da associação.

O capitão do time campeão, General sTariq Naeem Athar, também deu entrevista para o THE GUIDE e perguntado a que deu-se a vitória de seu time, ele respondeu que foi um belo trabalho de equipe e que ficou feliz por ter feito o gol da vitória quase no fim do jogo. O filho do General jogou em seu time e ao ser perguntado se o entrosamento entre os dois foi fruto de anos jogando juntos, ele respondeu: “É  difícil de acreditar mas essa foi a primeira vez que jogamos juntos!”

Todos foram então para os salões sociais do clube e a diretoria da associação iniciou as homenagens aos adidos que estão de partida do Brasil e também aos novos associados. Todos receberam medalhas e presentes em um clima de muita alegria e descontração.

Em seguida o almoço teve início e todos se confraternizaram apreciando um completo buffet de comida brasileira e peruana. Os ritmos latinos e caribenhos levaram vários casais a dançar no salão e a dança se prolongou por boa parte da tarde.

Após o almoço, o torneio de vôlei de praia teve início e quatro times formados por adidos e familiares disputaram vários jogos naquela bela e ensolarada tarde. Os jogadores formaram os times em uma espécie de sorteio, mantendo as equipes com equilibrado nível técnico. O general Tariq Naeem Athar, do Paquistão, também jogou em dos times e mais uma vez chegou a final.

O jogo foi emocionante, pois as duas equipes várias vezes estiveram na frente da pontuação. O jogo teve as duas equipes vencendo um set cada uma e forçando a um último e decisivo set. Foi sem dúvida uma final com belas jogadas e os dois times se revezando na dianteira. O time do General Tarik chegou a um momento que para ser campeão precisava marcar dois pontos seguidos e com muito esforço conseguiu esse feito e sagrou-se campeão. Os dois times se confraternizaram num clima de alegria.

Perguntado pelo THE GUIDE sobre a sensação de ter sido campeão nos dois torneios, o general Tarik disse que a sensação era ótima e que estava feliz pelo sucesso dos torneios por ter proporcionado confraternização e alegria para todos.

Todos foram para o salão social do clube e os campeões e vice-campeões dos torneios de futebol e vôlei receberam troféus e medalhas das mãos do Presidente do THE GUIDE, Sr. Pedro Paulo Moreira, do Presidente da Associação, General Alan Nuñez Rivera, do Vice Presidente, General Tariq Naeem Athar e demais membros da diretoria.

O sábado de confraternização foi marcado pela alegria e união dos Adidos de Defesa e suas famílias e o THE GUIDE parabeniza o presidente da Associação dos Adidos Militares Acreditados no Brasil (AAMAB), General Alan Nuñez Rivera, o Vice Presidente, General  Tariq Naeem Athar e os demais membros da diretoria pelo sucesso do belo evento!
