The Ministry of Defense, through the Secretariat of Defense Products (Seprod), participated in the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, held from July 20 to 24 in Farnborough, United Kingdom. The event brought together representatives from governments, defense procurement agencies, and companies in the aerospace and defense sectors.

The program included institutional meetings, technical visits, thematic forums, and activities focused on monitoring technological trends in the areas of military aviation, air defense, space systems, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and command and control solutions.

The Ministry of Defense’s participation aimed to monitor the development of strategic technologies, promote the exchange of knowledge, and identify opportunities for industrial cooperation in the defense sector. The Brazilian delegation was composed of representatives from Seprod, the São José dos Campos Technological Innovation Park (PIT-SJC), and companies that are part of the Defense Industrial Base (BID).

The 2026 edition also allowed for the monitoring of initiatives related to the European defense industry and international aerospace programs. The event featured approximately 1,400 exhibitors and received around 100,000 visitors from various countries.

Held every two years in the United Kingdom, the Farnborough International Airshow brings together manufacturers, suppliers, government agencies and institutions focused on technological innovation to present products, technologies and solutions in the defense and aerospace field, as well as to explore opportunities for cooperation and business.
