Works by the Spanish artist Francisco de Goya come to Brasilia with the exhibit Loucuras Anunciadas (Madness Announced), at Caixa Cultural. The collection is also known as “Disparates”, composed by twenty engravings.

The audience will get to see the most obscure and complex period of Goya’s production, according to experts, from 1815 to 1820. Goya had decided not to publish them because of the persecution at the time.

The enigmatic engravings are the latest graphic works by Goya. “Disparates” is a series that reveals visions, violence, sex, debauchery of institutions related to the absolutist regime, criticism of customs and clergy.
