Makeda – “A Rainha da Arábia Feliz” (The Queen of Happy Arabia) enchants the stage at CCBB Brasília
The Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil Brasília is preparing to host a captivating show that promises to delight all ages. “Makeda – The Queen of Happy Arabia” will premiere at the CCBB Brasília Theatre on January 12th of 2024, offering audiences a unique theatrical experience until February 4th.
The play, which will be performed on Fridays and Saturdays at 5pm, and on Sundays at 11am and 5pm, brings with it an innovative proposal by exploring the story of an African princess destined to become a great queen. The plot, based on the ancient scroll entitled “The Arabian Trilogy”, reveals tales centred on great queens of the past, guiding the princess through adventures in unknown lands.
More than just a well-crafted theatre production, “Makeda – The Queen of Happy Arabia” reflects the ethnic, racial and ancestral traits of black people. With a dramaturgy rooted in ancestral African cultures, the play highlights a black child protagonist in the process of developing her personality, becoming an important representation in the collective imagination.

O Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil Brasília se prepara para receber um espetáculo cativante que promete encantar todas as idades. “Makeda – A Rainha da Arábia Feliz” estreará no Teatro do CCBB Brasília no dia 12 de janeiro de 2024, proporcionando ao público uma experiência teatral única até o dia 4 de fevereiro.

Com uma dramaturgia enraizada nas culturas africanas ancestrais, a peça destaca uma protagonista infantil negra em formação de personalidade, tornando-se uma importante representação no imaginário coletivo.
