In order to encourage and disseminate national artistic production, the “Serviço Social do Comércio” (Or Sesc) promotes a new stage of the “Sesc Cultura ConVIDA” project through the exhibition of 10 thematic exhibitions, which bring up issues of great cultural relevance. The complete program will feature more than 100 attractions, which will be displayed for free on their online platform.


The Serviço Social do Comércio (SESC) is a private Brazilian institution, maintained by businessmen in the trade of goods, services and tourism, operating throughout the national scope, focused primarily on the social well-being of its employees and family, but open to community in general. It operates in the areas of Education, Health, Leisure, Culture and Assistance. Its leisure and culture services are usually open for the public and made available for free, either online or in their many units located all over the country.


The initiative presents exhibitions focused on several themes, some of them are:


The impact of social isolation on cultural production is represented in the exhibition “Na Pandemia”, which brings reflections on the scenario in the most diverse artistic and cultural manifestations.


The exhibition “Diálogos entre tradição e contemporaneidade” proposes a look at art through the manifestations of tradition and contemporary artistic creations.


“LGBTQI +” presents works that discuss issues related to gender diversity, and Female protagonism highlights female protagonism and gives visibility to gender equity in society and the production of female artists.


Productions by indigenous artists and cultural agents make up the exhibition “Povos originários ontem e hoje”, with reflections on the cultures of Native-Brazilian people. Peripheral narratives give visibility to the memories of cultural production of peripheral communities, while black narratives highlight cultural production with an African diáspora theme.


The “Acessibilidade” exhibition opens space for artists with disabilities and productions that include accessibility resources, in addition to promoting reflection on the importance of these actions.


The exhibit “Trânsitos culturais”, with works produced by people of other nationalities, such as immigrants and refugees, present in the Brazilian territory, and migrants, acting in the cultural dynamics of the territories in which they are installed.

Produções de artistas indígenas e agentes culturais compõem a mostra “Povos originários ontem e hoje”, com reflexões sobre a cultura do povo indígena. As narrativas periféricas dão visibilidade às memórias da produção cultural de comunidades periféricas, enquanto as narrativas negras destacam a produção cultural com temática diáspora africana.


A mostra “Acessibilidade” abre espaço para artistas com deficiência e produções que incluem recursos de acessibilidade, além de promover a reflexão sobre a importância dessas ações.


A mostra “Trânsitos culturais”, com obras produzidas por pessoas de outras nacionalidades, como imigrantes e refugiados, presentes no território brasileiro, e migrantes, atuando na dinâmica cultural dos territórios nos quais estão instalados.
