Due to the current situation in the Brazil regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, the status of cultural events and cultural spaces around the country has become uncertain, the forms of entertainment that some might deem the safest are those which can be experienced at home, such as television and the internet. Which such limitation in mind, some cultural spaces and technology companies managed to develop new ways of sharing its exhibitions and cultural events with the world.


Some museums and famous tourist attractions around the world offer virtual tours with 360º photo technology through the capture of satellite images and in-location photography, but everything has become even more realistic and accessible with the partnership with Google. They have developed a dedicated culture and art platform, titled Google Arts & Culture, which uses street view technology to provide free virtual tours to art galleries around the world. In addition, the site also provides information on art history, compiles works by famous artists and divides the collections in a thematic way.

Musée des Arts e Métiers, Paris:


The Museum of Arts and Industry in Paris is perhaps the world’s oldest museum dedicated to technological development. It was founded in the heat of the French Revolution of the XVIII century as a repository for the preservation of scientific instruments and inventions,


Amongst its collection is an original version of the Foucault Pendulum, and the original model of the “Liberty Enlightening the World”, better known around the world as the Statue of Liberty, located in the city of New York.




Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester: 


No city in England is better associated with craft and Industry than Manchester, home of the Industrial Revolution. It was amongst the smoke-chocked cotton mills and brick terraces that mass production techniques were developed.


The city of Manchester also saw Earnest Rutherford’s splitting of the atom, the invention of the first programmable computer, and other technological and scientific breakthroughs.




The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy center, Virginia:


The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy center in Virginia, United States, hold the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum’s expanded collection. In them you can find the Space Shuttle Discovery, the Enola Gay and the Gemini 7 space capsule.


The center also houses the Mary Baker Engen restoration hangar, open to the public, and the Donald D Engen observation tower, from which enthusiasts can watch the workings of the nearby Washington Dulles International Airport.
