As part of the activities of Semana da Língua Alemã (German Language Week), Brasília hosts a German Film Festival with a stellar program. Movies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland are set to be presented.

The opening of the German Language Week 2018 will be held on April 7, at Cine Brasilia, with the screening of the award-winning Swiss film “Mulheres divinas” (Petra Volpe, 2017). The film, which won the Tribeca Film Festival’s public award, shows the struggle of women for the right to vote in the country.

The program at Cine Brasília runs until April 13, with German productions “Entre culturas” (Peter K. Wehrli and Peter von Gunten, 2016) and “Selvagem” (Nicolette Krebitz, 2015).
