An interactive installation that invites the public to enter an imaginary city, with miniature universes reminiscent of childhood. The exhibition is designed for children, but manages to appeal to all audiences.
The Cidadela project has been touring Brazil since 2022, and in different formats has already been shown in the states of Minas Gerais, Paraná, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Ceará and the Federal District, reaching an audience of almost 70,000 people.
This exhibition materializes an imaginary and biocentric city, a dreamlike fortress where human beings, their bodies, houses and the rest of nature are parts of the same system: harmonious and fantastic.
Today, Ezou’s works are situated in the fields of visual arts, performance and installation. This is what can be seen in this exhibition. The project is conceived and realized individually by Maria Ezou, but it counts on the collaboration of other artists and masters of different crafts, who brought their specialties to the process of preparing the works.
Among the guests are André Mehmari (musical producer and performer); Heloisa Pires Lima (movement dramaturgy); Juliana Notari (movement dramaturgy); Mônica Cardim (artistic photography); Leonardo Martinelli (musical composition); Willian Oliveira (electronic systems development); Cristina Souto (lighting design), among others.
