Brasília Symphonic Orchestra has announced the agenda of concerts for April and begins its presentations honoring the music of Hungarian composer Béla Bartók. Led by conductor Cláudio Cohen, the free performances take place at Cine Brasilia.

On April 3, works by composer Béla Bartók will be performed, such as Concerto nº 2 for Viola and Orchestra nº1 (Opus posstumo), with solo by Zoltan Paulinyi, member of the orchestra.

Béla Bartók was a renowned Hungarian composer, pianist, ethnomusicologist, and music teacher. Together with Franz Liszt, he is counted amongst the greatest composers from Hungary. He is also considered one of the most important composers of the 20thcentury. His major musical works include orchestra, string quartets, piano solos, an opera, a cantata, some ballets, and several folk songs for voice and piano.
