The ambassador of Austria, H.E. Dr. Stefan Scholz, hosted a reception on the evening of April 14th to honor the Austrian Minister for Labor and Economy, H.E. Dr. Martin Kocher, who arrived in Brazil with a delegation of more than twenty people.
The guests were received at the official residence in the Embassies’ South Sector (Setor de Embaixadas Sul) and among them there were foreign ambassadors, representatives of the Brazilian federal government, diplomats, businesspeople, journalists and members of the Austrian community in Brasília.
The ambassador gave a welcome speech to the minister and members of the Austrian delegation and highlighted the opportunities for establishing a growth of businesses with Brazil. Afterwards, Minister Martin Kocher also spoke and thanked Ambassador Stefan Scholz for the warm welcome. He stated that Austria is a nation with strong friendship with Brazil and that he is certain of strengthening trade and cooperation relations with the country. Both were applauded by all guests.
Afterwards, everyone was invited to taste one of the most traditional dishes of Brazilian cuisine: the famous feijoada. Everyone enjoyed dinner in a friendly atmosphere.
