The embassy of Spain in Brasília held a big party to celebrate its country’s national day. The glamorous event took place on October 10th 2023, when the Spanish ambassador, Mrs. María del Mar Fernández-Palacios, received hundreds of guests in the social halls of the official residence.

As in previous years, the entrance to the embassy had a beautiful special lighting. The guests were received by the ambassador Fernández-Palacios and other diplomats and embassy attachés. Brazilian government authorities, foreign ambassadors, diplomats, businesspeople, journalists and members of Brasília society attended and socialized at the beautiful gathering.
The anthems of Brazil and Spain were played and the ambassador gave a speech thanking everyone for their presence and highlighting the support of the various companies sponsoring the grand celebration. She also informed about the good relations of Spain and Brazil. Then, everyone watched a video commemorating the national day.
The famous paellas were served and everyone enjoyed the rich Spanish cuisine while a talented musical group performed beautiful typical Spanish dances.

At the end of the celebration, several prizes were drawn for the guests, who also received souvenirs from the glamorous celebration.
