The Embassy of Poland received guests on September 14th for the presentation of the theatrical show SANATORIUM – Adaptação de contos de Bruno Schulz (Adaptation of short stories by Bruno Schulz). The play was presented by actor Jerson Fontana and had the creation of costumes and scenery by Maristela Marasca. The adaptation of the text for the theater was made by Jerson Fontana.
Guests from different professional areas attended the event
The event took place in the embassy’s theater and was attended by Brazilian government authorities, foreign diplomats, journalists and intellectuals. All were warmly received by the Polish Ambassador, Mr. Jakub Skiba.

The play SANATORIUM was presented by the “Grupo A Turma do Dionísio”, founded in 1986, and is an adaptation of short stories by the Polish writer Bruno Schulz. The show revealed the story of three characters: a retiree who faces loneliness in an unexpected way; a son who visits his father in a sanatorium; and an old man who dialogues with his own image in the mirror. The presentation involved humour, lyricism and Drama. The theater group has performed for more than 695,000 spectators across Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Poland, Switzerland, France, Ukraine and Italy.
