Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) was established in 1975 by four co-founders (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, The Emirates and Qatar) for the development of advanced technology-based industries in the Arab World. In 1979 Egypt took full control over AOI.
AOI fully owns fourteen factories, including:
Aircraft Factory – Engine Factory – Sakr Factory for Developed Industries – Kader Factory for Developed Industries – Railway Equipment Factory (SEMAF) – Electronics Factory – Helwan Factory for Developed Industries – Arab British Dynamics (ABD) – Arab Timber Industries Company (ATICO) – Arab Renewable Energy Company (ARECO)
Fields of Activities
(AOI) operations include both military and civil activities, fulfilling the requirements of the Egyptian Armed Forces of Egypt, Arab States and friendly countries. It also supports societal development plans, with emphasis on infrastructure ecological protection and railway projects.
