The play “Cuco” will have four free sessions on June 16 and 17 at the Museu Nacional da República’s annexe.
The play is called Cuco – A linguagem dos bebês no teatro (Cuco – The babies language in the theater) has Mário de Ballentti’s direction and features the actresses Ana Luiza Bergmann and Bruna Espinosa.
The southern theater company Caixa do Elefante has been on the road for 27 years, with puppets and shadow presentations specially made for kids. They will have a special presentation on June 16 and for a special audience – babies up to 3 years old.
The perfomance is divided in two parts. At first children stay with their parents and the actresses play with blankets, creating shapes and showing colorful objects to the children. After that, the babies and parents are allowed to go up on the stage to play together.
