National Day of Bangladesh

Ambassador of Bangladesh, Mr. Zulfiqar Rahman, and ambassadress Shameem Akhter

The embassy of Bangladesh in Brazil celebrated the National Date of its country on March 26, promoting a dinner at the Porto Vittória Event s Place, located in the Setor de Clubes Sul (South Club Sector) of Brasilia.

Ambassador of Bangladesh, Mr. Zulfiqar Rahman, is greeted by the guests.

The social halls of Porto Vittória were beautifully decorated and a stage was set up for cultural performances of music and dance.

Hundreds of guests congratulated Ambassador Zulfiqr Rahman and other Bangladeshi diplomats on the important date. Brazilian government officials, foreign ambassadors, entrepreneurs, intellectuals and personalities of the Brasilia society were among the guests.

The ambassador delivered a speech in which he highlighted the development potential of his country and the growing relations with Brazil. Then, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Secretary José de Almeida Salgado spoke. The speeches were much applauded by all.

The guests socialized and enjoyed a dinner party with dishes from Brazil and Bangladesh.
