A Real Pain is a comedy-drama directed and written by Oscar nominee Jesse Eisenberg. The film tells the story of David (Jesse Eisenberg) and Benji (Kieran Culkin), two mismatched cousins who embark on a trip to Poland to visit their grandmother’s home country and reconnect with their family roots.
David is a pragmatic and reserved father and husband, while Benji is a free-spirited guy with an eccentric personality and a bohemian lifestyle. The duo accompanies a group on a Holocaust memorial tour in honor of their grandmother, who died a few months ago. The conflicting dynamics of the duo are then put to the test throughout the trip, just as the adventure takes a turn when old tensions resurface, against the backdrop of the family’s history.
The film will be shown in Brazilian cinemas with subtitles and dubbed versions.
