Kung Fu Panda 4, the new animation from Universal Pictures in partnership with DreamWorks Animation, has become the biggest animation opening of 2024 in Brazil.

The story is filled with comedy, action and emotion, a mix that follows in the footsteps of the other films in the franchise.

Co-director Stephanie Ma Stine stated that the focus of the production was to honor the nostalgia and legacy of previous films, without losing the different sensations they cause. Director Mike Mitchell, a big fan of the saga, was also excited to work with this unique mix that the films provide. “The narrative of this film calls for a lot of kung fu action, combined with comedy and animation, it couldn’t be more perfect for me”, points out Mitchell. Kung Fu Panda 4 is directed by Mike Mitchell (Trolls, Shrek Forever After) and co-directed by Stephanie Ma Stine (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power series). Rebecca Huntley (The Bad Guys) signs the production. In 2008, Kung Fu Panda, the Oscar-nominated inaugural installment, became DreamWorks Animation’s highest-grossing original animated film and launched a franchise that has grossed more than $1.8 billion at the box office worldwide.
