Get ready for a deep dive into the flavors and cultural richness of Brazil. From June 5 to 8, the Ulysses Guimarães Convention Center in Brasília will host two very special events: Brasil Origem Week and the Chocolat Festival. And the best part? Admission is free with the donation of 1 kg of non-perishable food.
Over the course of four days, visitors can enjoy a wide-ranging program filled with experiences for all tastes: tastings, live cooking shows, lectures, creative fairs, and much more.
According to the organizers, the goal is to celebrate Brazilian diversity by connecting producers, consumers, and investors in a welcoming environment full of opportunities. “By promoting experiences through flavor, art, innovation, and knowledge, we give prominence to origin and generate new opportunities for business and cultural identity,” highlights Marco Lessa, founder of the Chocolat Festival and Brasil Origem Week.
Among the highlights is the famous Mini Chocolate Factory, where visitors can watch up close as cocoa is transformed into chocolate. There’s also the Cocoa Sensory Tunnel, the Chocolate Studio featuring live chocolate sculptures, the fun Kids’ Kitchen, and the Origem Stage, which will host cultural and musical performances—including the show “Viva Caymmi” by Danilo Caymmi, in tribute to his father, Dorival Caymmi.
Food lovers will enjoy the Show Cooking sessions, where renowned chefs will present dishes made with Brazilian ingredients like pequi, baru, cachaça, and cocoa. Featured chefs include Mariana Corbetta, Lionel Ortega, Cecília Araújo, Lany Fernandes, and MasterChef Professionals winner Bárbara Frazão.
In addition, on June 6 and 7, the Business Roundtable will take place with support from Apex Brasil, connecting brands and institutional buyers in meetings that aim to boost the market for origin-based products.
There will also be space for reflection and knowledge exchange at the Origem Forum and Origem Day, where experts will discuss topics such as chocolate, coffee, craft beer, wine, tourism, sustainability, women’s entrepreneurship, technology, and more.
The event is organized by the Instituto Casa da Vila, with support from SEDET, Apex Brasil, UNICAFES, Ceplac, Bahiater, CAR, and the Government of Bahia.
