Festival de Cinema Filme Livre (Free Film Festival) comes to Brasília this week, with free admission sessions at CCBB. The program of the 17th edition of the event runs until May 20.

Besides the movies, the festival presents a series of parallel activities that includes debates, training actions and the Cinema and Memory course, taught by researcher Hernani Heffner (MAM-RJ).

A total of 230 productions were selected by the curators: Gabriel Sanna, Diego Franco, Scheilla Franca and Guilherme Whitaker (Guiwhi). This Saturday, April 28, the filmmaker Olívio Tavares de Araújo will be honored with the presentation of four short films directed by him. After the session, the director himself will participate in a debate.
