On a commemorative tour of her 45-year career, singer Amelinha comes to Brasilia for a presentation at the 5ª Bienal da Poesia do B (5th Biennial of Poetry).

Amelinha, along with Belchior, Fagner and Ednardo, is part of a generation of artists from Ceará who, in the early 1970s, took the audience by surprise all over the country with a kind of music that brought together references from Northeastern culture to pop music.

Many songs contributed to increase the popularity of Amelinha suchs as “Foi Deus Quem Fez Você”, featured in the festival MPB 80; and “Mulher nova, bonita e carinhosa faz o homem gemer sem sentir dor”.
