The National Day of India was celebrated on August 15th, when hundreds of guests attended a grand celebration at the official residence of India’s new ambassador to Brazil, Mr. Dinesh Bhatia.
The beautiful event took place in the residence’s social halls and open-air areas, where a large stage was set up for cultural exhibitions and videos about that beautiful Asian country.
Brazilian government officials, foreign ambassadors and diplomats, businesspeople, journalists, and members of the Indian community in Brasília were among the guests. Everyone mingled in an atmosphere of joy and friendship.

The Brazilian and Indian national anthems were played, and then Ambassador Dinesh Bhatia delivered a speech thanking everyone for their attendance and emphasizing the strong and growing relations with Brazil. His speech received a warm applause from all.
The guests enjoyed a performance by a group of dancers, who performed dances to various rhythms of Indian culture, including Bollywood hits. Another highlight of the evening was the Indian cuisine, served at a grand celebratory dinner.
The Ambassador and other Indian diplomats were warmly congratulated on the success of the event.
