The public of Brasilia will have the opportunity to visit during this weekend an exhibitions of paintings and engravings of local artists and acquire beautiful works of art.
The Art Gallery Reference is presenting on Friday, August 3, and on Saturday, August 4, the Feira de Gravuras e Publicações Independentes (Independent Prints and Publications Fair), bringing together works of artists of the city, which will be for sale.
Six publishers of the city were invited to participate in the event. The prices of the works vary from $ 200.00 (BRL) to $ 6.500,00 (BRL). Participants were selected because they produced and commercialized engravings as a source of interest.
Another exhibition of engravings to be highlighted is Caneta Criativa (Creative Pen), at Supremo Tribunal Federal – STF (Supreme Federal Court of Brazil). All the drawings were made by the graphic designer Jailson Belfort, who began to make drawings with ballpoint pens two years ago.
When the artist began to invest in this drawing technique, he opted for more animals and food. Later, it began to reproduce landscapes, cities and monuments in panels that can have up to 90x50cm. At the exhibition, Mr. Belfort divided presentation of their drawings in two places: In the cultural space of the court, are the simpler designs, whose playful and childlike characteristics combine with the variety of colors used. The more complex designs, such as panels and monuments, were the hallway in front of the court library.
