Until January 15th, the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (Banco do Brasil Cultural Center – CCBB) will be holding the art exhibition “Movimento Armorial 50 Anos” in a free format.
The event consists of a large exhibition that brings together art, musical meetings and conversations about Armorial art – an important artistic movement, launched in the city of Recife, created and led by the playwright, teacher, painter and renowned writer Ariano Suassuna (1927-2014).
Movimento Armorial 50 Anos is committed to re-presenting to the public, especially to new generations, Ariano’s unique and challenging proposal to create, for five decades, an erudite art from the most authentic and traditional popular artistic and cultural manifestations of the Brazilian Northeast and other regions of the country.
As a highlight, the public will be able to see about 140 works of art, in different formats, by important artists for the Armorial Movement, among them Ariano Suassuna himself, Francisco Brennand, Gilvan Samico, Aluísio Braga, Zélia Suassuna and Lourdes Magalhaes.

Where: Setor de Clubes Esportivos Sul – SCES, Trecho 2 – Asa Sul, Brasília – DF (In front of the “Clube de Golfe de Brasília” golf club).
