Ambassador of Vietnam, Mr. Bùi Văn Nghị
On February 6, the Vietnamese Embassy held an event to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, as well as the Lunar New Year celebration.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, diplomats, ambassadors, Brazilian politicians, journalists and members of the Brazilian society.
The guests were welcomed in the main hall, where they enjoyed tea straight from Vietnam and snacks. After all the guests had arrived, those present were led to a social hall of the embassy where they could sit at round tables to listen to the speeches that would follow.

After an introduction to the meeting, the guests watched a video introducing the formation of the Vietnamese Communist Party and the country’s achievements in the diplomatic field in 2024.
After the video, Ambassador of Vietnam, Mr. Bùi Văn Nghị, delivered a speech introducing Vietnam’s history and its anti-colonial efforts, as well as the nation’s growth towards socialist ideals.
His speech also celebrated the partnership between the nations in a “bamboo” diplomatic style, where there are strong foundations and flexible leaves, as he highlighted at the end of his speech:
“[…] On behalf of the Embassy, I hope to continue receiving your support and cooperation in the coming time, contributing to strengthening and expanding the Vietnam-Brazil Strategic Partnership and fostering closer ties between our two nations. “
Following the ambassador’s speech, Mrs.Luciana Barbosa de Oliveira Santos, Brazilian Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation and President of the Communist Party of Brazil, highlighted the cooperation between the two countries and congratulated the Vietnam’s communist party on its anniversary.
Mrs. Ana Prestes, granddaughter of the Brazilian communist guerrilla fighter Luís Carlos Prestes, also spoke of the courage of the Vietnamese people in their struggle, congratulating national hero Ho Chi Minh for his anti-colonial struggle in the country.

After the speeches, a group photo was taken of the attendees, bringing together politicians, diplomats, journalists and members of the Vietnamese embassy. After the photo session, the guests went outside for a fireworks display to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
The show of fireworks was beautiful and after that everyone was invited to enjoy a buffet in the dinner hall, where everyone socialized and showed strong friendship.

No dia 6 de Fevereiro, a embaixada do Vietnã realizou um evento em comemoração dos 95 anos do Partido Comunista do Vietnã, além da celebração do Ano Novo Lunar.
O evento contou com a presença de ilustres convidados, diplomatas, embaixadores, políticos brasileiros, jornalistas e membros da sociedade brasiliense.
Os convidados foram recebidos no salão principal, onde puderam aproveitar de chá direto do Vietnã e aperitivos. Após a chegada de todos os convidados, os presentes foram encaminhados para o salão social onde puderam se acomodar para acompanhar os discursos que se seguiriam.
Após uma introdução da reunião, os convidados assistiram a um vídeo que apresentava a formação do partido comunista vietnamita e as conquistas do país no campo diplomático em 2024.
Após o vídeo, o embaixador do Vietnam, Sr. Bùi Văn Nghị discursou apresentando a história do Vietnã e seu esforço anticolonial, assim como o crescimento da nação rumo aos ideais socialistas. Seu discurso também celebrou a parceria entre as nações em um estilo diplomático de “bambu”, onde se tem bases fortes e folhas maleáveis, como destacou no final de seu discurso:
” […] Em nome da Embaixada, espero continuar recebendo seu apoio e cooperação nos próximos tempos, contribuindo para fortalecer e expandir a Parceria Estratégica Vietnã-Brasil e promover laços mais estreitos entre nossas duas nações. “
Após o discurso do embaixador, a Sra. Luciana Barbosa de Oliveira Santos, ministra da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação e presidente do Partido Comunista do Brasil, ressaltou a cooperação entre os dois países e parabenizou novamente pelo aniversário do partido comunista do Vietnã.
A Sra. Ana Prestes, neta do guerrilheiro comunista brasileiro Luís Carlos Prestes, falou também da coragem na luta do povo Vietnamita, parabenizando o herói nacional Ho Chi Minh pela luta anticolonial em seu país.
Após os discursos, fotografias dos grupos presentes foram tiradas, juntando políticos, diplomatas, jornalistas e membros da embaixada do Vietnã. Após a sessão de fotos, os convidados foram para o lado exterior para uma queima de fogos em comemoração ao Ano Novo Lunar.
Após o espetáculo pirotécnico, todos foram convidados ao salão de jantar para degustar um buffet de celebração, onde todos socializaram e mostraram forte amizade.
