On February 12th, the Ambassadors of the Slovak Republic, Ms. Katarina Tomková, and the Republic of Slovenia, Ms. Mateja Kračun, hosted a wine tasting event as part of the “Diplomatic Days of Wine.”
The event, held at a wine bar in Asa Sul, introduced guests to a selection of different wines from Slovakia and Slovenia, paired with carefully chosen appetizers. Guests included foreign ambassadors, Brazilian government officials, businesspeople, journalists and members of Brasília society.
The Ambassadors kicked off the event with lighthearted speeches, noting that despite their differences, Slovakia and Slovenia are often mistaken. They took the opportunity to share fun facts about the geographical and cultural distinctions between the two countries. However, they emphasized that both nations share a common passion: the production of high-quality wines, with a winemaking tradition that dates back centuries.
The gathering was enriched by live music, interactive games challenging participants to differentiate between the two countries, and moments of relaxation and networking.
