The MADE IN BANGLADESH 2025 Fair was held in São Paulo, Brazil, from June 16 to 18 at the hotel Novotel São Paulo Center Norte. The event was promoted by the Brazil Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry – BBCCI and aimed to increase business relations between the two countries.

The event was opened by the new ambassador of Bangladesh to Brazil, Hon. Dr. Tauhedul Islam, and brought together businesspeople from various segments including clothing, pharmaceuticals and clean energy. Businesspeople, journalists and Brazilian government officials participated in the event, which offered excellent business opportunities.

Bangladesh is a growing economy in Asia and is strategically located close to China, India and countries in the Southeast of the Asian continent. The country is one of the leaders in clothing production and supplies products to the United States, Canada and several European countries. Natural medicine is another major force in Bangladesh and one of the largest Ayurvedic medicine companies in the country, Biocell Ayurvedic Limited, also came to the event to initiate contacts with a view to exporting its products to Brazil.

Many companies from Bangladesh were at the event!

 

Several authorities spoke at the opening of the event, including the President and Vice President of the Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce, Messrs. Shahriar Ahmed and Saiful Alam, respectively, and Ambassador Tauhedul Islam. All of them highlighted the enormous opportunity of establishing strong and lasting relations between businessmen from both countries. The Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce in Brazil, Mr. Marcio Dias Feres, also spoke and emphasized that commercial partnerships will bring mutual benefits and that the producer and consumer markets of both countries are attractive and offer great opportunities.

Representatives of Bangladesh and Brazil delivered speeches highlighting the potential for trading between the two countries.

 

Mrs. Regina Carnovale Nunes, São Paulo major’s wife, went to the event and was honored by the members of CCBBI.

Mrs. Regina Carnovale Nunes delivered a speech and said that it is important for Brazil to grow relations with Bangladesh.

Commodore Abu Sayed Md Afzalul Haque, Defense Attaché of Bangladesh in Brazil, also did a speech and highlighted that Bangladesh and Brazil currently have a trade exchange of more than two billion dollars annually.

Brazilian businessmen saw the quality of Bangladeshi products at the booths set up at the event. Men’s, women’s, children’s and even professional clothing was on display. Many of the Bangladeshi businessmen came to Brazil for the first time and see Brazil and South America as an excellent consumer market.

High quality products from Bangladesh are already in the markets of Europe and U.S.A.
