The National Day of the United States was celebrated on July 3rd, when the ambassador of that country, Ms. Elizabeth Frawley Bagley, received hundreds of guests for a grand party at an events venue in the Setor de Clubes Sul of Brasília (South Clubs Sector of Brasília).
Among the guests there were Brazilian government officials, foreign ambassadors, diplomats, defense attaches, businessmen and personalities from Brazilian and American societies.
The event venue was beautifully decorated with a stage for the official ceremony and another for a musical performance, both along the shores of the famous Lake Paranoá. Food service tables were set up in various locations, and as expected, everyone could enjoy traditional American-style hamburgers and hot dogs, greatly appreciated by the guests. The grandeur of the event was supported by several American companies, who received special thanks from the ambassador.
Once everyone had arrived, the event began and the national anthems of Brazil and the United States were beautifully performed by two talented singers, adding an extra layer of emotion for everyone. After the anthems, the ambassador of the United States of America, Ms. Elizabeth Frawley Bagley and the Brazilian Secretary for Europe and North America, Ms. Maria Luísa Escorel, delivered speeches highlighting the enduring strong relations between the United States and Brazil. Both were warmly applauded by all.
After the speeches, the traditional fireworks display began and everyone enjoyed the beautiful pyrotechnic show over the waters of Lake Paranoá.
Then, the ambassador invited everyone to enjoy the party and a pop music band entertained everyone with American and Brazilian hits. Many guests danced and everyone enjoyed a joyful atmosphere of happiness and friendship.
