Ambassador of Sri Lanka, Mr. Sumith Dassanayake
The Embassy of Sri Lanka celebrated the 76th Anniversary of the Independence Day of Sri Lanka on February 6, 2024. The Sri Lankan Ambassador, Mr. Sumith Dassanayake welcomed dozens of guests to the important celebration.
The Embassy of Sri Lanka was beautifully decorated to the celebration.
Many products of Sri Lanka were presented to the guests.
Brazilian government authorities, foreign ambassadors and diplomats, journalists and personalities from Brasília society were at the event and congratulated the ambassador and other diplomats from Sri Lanka on the National Day.
Ambassadors from many countries were at the event.

The ambassador gave a speech thanking everyone for their presence and highlighted his country’s relations with Brazil. Afterwards, Mr. Eduardo Paes Saboia, the Secretary of Asia and the Pacific at the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also spoke and congratulated the ambassador on his country’s strong friendship with Brazil. Both toasted in honor of Sri Lanka’s National Day.
A dinner with typical Sri Lankan food was served to everyone, who fraternized with great joy and friendship.
