Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Bolat Nussupov and his wife, Mrs. Gulnaziya Nussupova
The Embassy of Kazakhstan celebrated the National Day on September 14, 2023. The date was also selected to celebrate 30 years of friendship between Brazil and Kazakhstan, which began in 1993.
The event was in the evening when guests arrived at the embassy to a warm welcome from ambassador Bolat Nussupov and his wife.
The embassy has a stunning view to the Lake Paranoá and the exhibition of a diverse range of national symbols and traditional clothes. The start of the event had a smooth ambiance, with a beautiful sunset while jazz played in the background.
Authorities of the Brazilian government, foreign ambassadors, diplomats, businessmen, press members and personalities of the Brazilian society were together to celebrate the relations between Brazil and Kazakhstan.
After the arrival of all guests, the embassy asked everyone’s attention to the Brazilian national anthem and the Kazakhstani national anthem.
Ambassador Bolat Nussupov then began his first speech, thanking everyone for coming. He highlighted the fact that the Republic of Kazakhstan has considerably increased its investment in diplomacy and cooperation, creating forums that increase bilateral relations between Brazil and Kazakhstan. Proof of this growing friendship is the Brazilian delegation that, according to the ambassador, will visit around 4 Kazakhstani cities, which will increase cultural dialogue between the two countries.
After Mr. Nussupov’s speeches, the Secretary for Asia and the Pacific at the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Eduardo Paes Saboia, took the stage to speak about the relationship between Brazil and Kazakhstan.
Mr. Saboia reminded everyone that Brazil was the first country in Latin America to send a head of state to Kazakhstan, in 2009 during President Lula’s government. He celebrated the inauguration of the Kazakhstani embassy in Brazil in 2013 and completed by sharing about the creation of the Brazil-Kazakhstan Parliamentary Friendship Group in 2015.
The Secretary ended his speech by reaffirming the need for both countries to continue investing in friendship and bilateral relations, and after his speeches, he received a certificate of appreciation from the ambassador.
Guests were then invited to a dinner served with Brazilian and Kazakhstani food. After that, a great table of Kazakhstani desserts was served.
The Kazakhstani ambassador and diplomats were congratulated by the guests for the 30 years of friendship between Brazil and Kazakhstan.
